7 Questions to Ask at the End of the Year

December 17, 2016 | Leave a Comment

How to plan for next year.*

Mormon Mompreneur 7 Questions to Ask at the end of the year business planning. Strategic planning.

My new 2017 Mormon Momplanner came in the mail the other day.  Seeing the empty pages and spaces leaves my mind giddy with the thoughts of what this next year is going to bring.  Looking ahead can be helpful to our business but sometimes all that forward thinking can leave much needed lessons behind.

Using lessons we’ve learned can help build and grow our business if we but just take the time to ponder before writing that massive goal list.

Here are my 7 questions to ask at the end of the year to plan for next year.

Mormon Mompreneur 7 Questions to Ask at the end of the year to build your businessWhat were my biggest success of the year?

Go ahead, pat yourself on the back.  You’ve accomplished some great things.  Writing your successes down can give you motivation to move forward.  They can also be a friendly reminder when discouraging times do come along.  So make this list and do a happy dance.  You are doing wonderfully!

What were my biggest failures of the year?

Just as sure that you have had successes, you’ve probably had more than one mistake.  Go ahead and write these down and then write the lesson that you’ve learned from making that mistake.

What routines have I established that have benefitted me the most?

Look over your daily life and decide which habits are beneficial and which ones you could leave behind in the new year.

What part of my business could I simplify?

Simplifying can open your mind and your schedule to better things.  Can you cut out a product that is taking too much time?  Can you outsource your packaging?  Come up with one way that you can simplify.

Who has helped me the most?

Taking an account of who has helped you along your way and then thanking them build relationships and helps you keep an attitude of gratitude.

How can I serve my audience/customers better?

Find one thing that you could do that will improve your customer service.  You could send a thank you note, repost pictures they’ve tagged you in, give them a free print.

How do I want grow in the coming year?

Think about how far you’ve come in the last year, what do you want to do in the coming months?
