Some debates are worth having. (See above). Choosing which platform to use for your website isn’t. The answer is simple: WordPress.
5 reasons wordpress for your blog.
There is a reason WordPress is the platform of choice for nearly 74,652,825 sites. Here are 5 reasons why WordPress is THE BEST CHOICE for your business.
Why WordPress should be the platform of choice for your business.
#1: WordPress is free. The basic power behind WordPress can be yours for $0. While there can be added expenses as you start to add plugins (we will talk about this in another post!), and customizations – the interface of WordPress can be yours now. Get it.
#2: WordPress is way more than just blogging. Hello….glorious WEBSITE! One of the most common questions I get as a mentor is “What platform do you use for your blog?…and which for your website?” Oh girl! They’re all under the same roof of WordPress! Michelle will take you on a little tour of WordPress in a later post on the difference between Posts and Pages in Wordpress, but just know that WordPress makes it wickedly easy to manage both.
#3: WordPress will keep your images looking glorious. As much as I want to come across as Ms. Optimism in this post, I just can’t hold back when I say these words: BLOGGER – GAG. While Blogger has made some efforts to help images look as good as possible, WordPress continues to shine as the best curator for your images. If you spend a lot of time on producing/editing gorgeous images for your blog and website, WordPress will take great care of them. Blogger just hasn’t hit their stride yet!
#4: WordPress is open source, which means you can do just about ANYTHING with it! Since WordPress is an open-source software, so you can easily extend it to add new features. There are thousands of WordPress Plugins that will help you enhance your website from top to bottom. Need a store? There’s a plugin for that. Want to sell memberships? There’s a plugin for that. Want to display picture grids on your blog? There’s a plugin for that. The sky is the limit as thousands of developers create new plugins. As a small reference, my own website runs 22 plugins, which help my website perform just to my liking.
#5: WordPress will make you as unique as YOU ARE. As mentioned above, Plugins will add all sorts of features like a shopping cart, membership management, Instagram feed, and thousands more to your site. You will look super pro in minutes. Your unique brand can come through in hugely distinct ways once you choose a template for your website. These templates will range dramatically in cost and look! If you chose Blogger you will have some fun backgrounds to choose from, but every visitor to your site will know it is Blogger. With WordPress, we should play a game of “Is this website a WordPress site?” You really won’t be able to tell because of the vast power that WordPress and website templates yield to make your website unique!
Here are some websites, varying from big to small, that are all WordPress. Check out how different they all look!

In conclusion:
WordPress is for you. If I had to slip in one “con” to this conversation it would be this: WordPress has a learning curve. A steeper learning curve than Blogger. Be patient with yourself, dig in, and enjoy the fruits of your labor. WordPress is for you!
Now that we have that settled, we can go back to more worthwhile debates!
Netflix vs Amazon Prime
The Cubs vs The Indians
iPhone vs Droid
Facebook vs Instagram
